Powder X Cooper!
We have actively employed Raymond H. Oppenheimer's 20 Principles(+) in making our selection. Cooper is quite a remarkable dog with a resume befitting such a handsome boy. Off the top, Cooper is a Dutch, Belgian, Luxembourg youth champion, Youth Winner '14, Junior Benelux Winner, Herbst Jugend Sieger, Belgian champion, Belgian winner of the Raspeciale and, to top it all, Junior World Winner 2014. This is being modest, as his resume literally goes on and on and on... But the most important thing is his character and his zest for work. In the field Cooper has done some trials and he has several Hunting certificates, the latest one a C certificate at the Dutch breed association. In the home his boss says Cooper is the dog he had in mind before he was brought home, the best buddy you can wish for, sometimes very stubborn and not always doing what is asked, this last thing is owned by his boss ;-). Cooper is very close and focused on his boss, but in nature he takes some distance and likes to hunt, but always keeping in mind where the boss is. In short, we strongly feel he will be very complimentary to Powder and vice versa.
Powder is a highly intelligent Drent who has proven to be a fast learner and is an incredibly athletic lady with the confidence to take on insanely rugged terrain and deep cover most dogs will balk at. She has experience hunting Pheasant, Hungarian Partridge, Blue Grouse, Valley and Mearns quail. She is cooperative, backs, sticks solid points and is a reliable finder of downed game. She is also a natural retriever and has a soft mouth as an added bonus. Moreover, Powder is an amazingly sweet and affectionate Drent and my best bud, and power cuddler who enjoys her family time. Powder is a TBI-Service dog, who achieved her AKC Good Canine Citizen certification at 10 months of age. Others have described Powder as: loves to work in the field, very playful and tolerant. She is easy to live with, a great mom and easy whelper - this is going to be very exciting!
Our intent is to take her to the Netherlands in the spring of 2020 after getting her full approval from the DPCNA to be bred. and from there the timeline runs. If everything goes to plan pups would be ready to go to their forever homes in Late-July 2020.
The litter will be whelped and raised here in Spokane. As of 9.22.19 we are now screening Reserve Clients for this opportunity - if you are interested, don't delay in contacting us.
