The Immaculate Conception

As it turns out, Maddie's heat cycle progressed much quicker than expected.  Given the timing of events, and cost of direct flights on less than twelve hour notice, we have moved to the next best thing, Artificial Insemination (AI).  A chilled semen AI managed by canine reproductive specialists has nearly the same rate of conception as a live mating, and there are no additional health risks or complications versus a live mating, unlike a frozen semen insemination.

With that in mind, Monday 13 April at 10am the Immaculate Conception is scheduled to occur.

Until then let us cross our fingers and wish Booker's little swimmers a safe journey to Oklahoma.  

13 April UPDATE: The package arrived, and the AI procedure complete.  Now we wait until 11 May to see if we have any results!
