Ila X Bono (planned for 2023)
While we have invested heavily in frozen semen, for this litter we intend to have a live mating accomplished. We are planning to travel to the Netherlands! We have been friends with Michael van der Burg for years but have not had the opportunity to meet in person, aside from what we believe may have been a very brief introduction many, many years ago - letting it ride at that just isn't going to work! Also, to be honest, we have been feeling the need to visit the motherland of the Drent, as well as other Dutch friends of ours, so why not use this as an opportunity to do all of that.
Despite these personal connections, we passionately believe this pairing to fully express our philosophy as wholeheartedly as we could imagine. We are so committed to this, we intend to retain a pup from this pairing to begin the next leg, the fourth generation of the Two Gun Kennels breeding program.

Ch. Bono Cooper van de Bezelhonk, aka BonoI fell in love with Bono at first glance. He was born before Ila was and from the earliest photos of him, I knew that he was going to be something special. He hasn't disappointed, he quickly earned the title of Youth Champion and despite COVID stopping dog shows for an extended period, at 28 months of age he achieved his Dutch Show Champion title! He quickly earned his Champion title and most recently won the 2022 Championship Club Match as #1 of 106 Drents! In addition to his stunning looks, and great personality, Bono does field work with his boss. As a team they are working towards diplomas in a wide range of events. They follow the hunting training methodology of the prestigious kennel van de Bezelhonk, both continue to get better and better. Like a typical young Drent boy Bono is eager to please but sometimes very naughty, and his boss freely admits he still has much to learn. But it feels like there is nothing more fun than to see that your dog is having so much fun and being passionate about hunting. At home, Bono is a boss-oriented energetic dog who likes to bully his father (the famous and beautiful Cooper), but also always nice to lie with the boss, preferably on his lap. WEBSITE

Two Gun's Sky Island Manzanita Rush CGCU NA, aka IlaIla is our first Drent to bear our kennel name, but she is a third-generation dog. That's what happens when you start with a male dog (LoL). Ila has many traits passed down from her Grandfather Booker, easily as intelligent, if not more so, and much more biddable. She is deeply intuitive, a bit ridiculous, and the Queen of Derp. Her points are dramatic and statuesquely steady. She swims, she retrieves and is working towards a NAVHDA UT title - she is all Ila. She has been hunting since she was 5-months old, and has successfully hunted Pheasant, Huns, Mearns, Mountain, & Valley quail, Sharptailed, Ruffed, & Sage grouse. Most of all she is my sweet buddy, and when the time comes, she will replace her mother as my Medical Alert Service Dog.

Answers to frequently asked questions:
*All puppies must be picked up at our home in Spokane, WA.
*We do not allow future owners to "pick" their puppy. We will make selections based on the dynamics of our client list and the pups produced. There is no preference order.
*Our Pups will come with health records including proof of worming, 1st set of vaccinations, microchip, and clean bill of health as well as DPCNA and AKC registration.
Puppy visits:
*We do not allow visits with the puppies until they are 2 weeks old
*We allow adults and encourage children to come as well, however children should be supervised and know beforehand how to interact and handle a puppy.
*Please be prepared to have your hands and shoes disinfected when you visit
*Please wear clean clothes and do not travel to a dog park or pet store on the day prior to your visit
We recognize the DPCNA, The Drentsche Patrijshond Club of North America, as the parent organization of the Drentsche Patrijshond, Dutch Partridge Dog, in North America as recognized by the American Kennel Club. All our litters will be registered with the DPCNA and American Kennel Club.
