1st AKC Breeder of Merit for the Drent!

Several years ago we looked into applying for the AKC's Breeder of Merit, but it wasn't available to those producing breeds in the Foundation Stock Service (FSS)... It was disappointing to say the least. Quietly in the background the AKC changed its policy on the matter and so Jenna applied on Brian's behalf. Consequently on the 25th of March earlier this year, Brian was conferred the title of AKC Breeder of Merit (BoM), which is something exciting on its own, but also to be recognised as the First BoM for the Drent makes it sparkle a little more. Sadly, the AKC doesn't allow FSS breeders to climb the BoM hierarchy, and they will not make a breed specific badge for the community, but they did authorize us to make our own - so we have that going for us.
