Fowler
"Jager NA JH UTII TD CGC"
Fowler is our oldest boy. He was imported from the Netherlands in 2010, and was bred by Sjors Vriend in Medemblik, NL.
Fowler is a very sweet dog, who loves to cuddle and just wants to be close to his family. He is not very good at respecting "personal space." He also excels in the field - he is incredibly fast, with a natural range of 80-100 yards. He has hunted many types of birds including pheasant, grouse, quail, huns, and chukar. He is also a great waterfowl dog and loves to swim and retrieve. He is extremely biddable and everything we could have asked for in a family member and hunting buddy. Fowler was the first Drent to be titled in NAHVDA and the AKC Hunt test systems. He has really paved the way for Drents in North America to participate in these organizations. He is also a certified therapy dog and has participated in programs such as Reading with Rover. Fowler has sired 4 litters of puppies, producing some lovely offspring that will hopefully continue to produce for the breed in North America. |
