Our puppies are raised in a family-oriented and enriched environment for optimal development opportunities. They are handled daily from the minute they are born until they leave for their new homes. We follow Puppy Culture puppy development and enrichment program protocols, which include ENS and ESI. Our puppies will be exposed to loud noises, classical music, the vacuum, a small swimming pool, many different toys, wings, whenever possible live birds, and so much more. They will also have our other adult dogs as nannies to interact with and learn from. Weather and temperature dependent, at 4 to 5 weeks of age puppies gain a large secure outdoor puppy pen where they have a safe and enriched environment to explore and play. Even so, their primary area is inside our home where they sleep overnight.

Approximately 72 hours after the pups being born, we contact everyone "on deck" to offer puppies. If you are offered a puppy, it is at that time that we require your non-refundable deposit to be paid.

Our puppies are started on Inukshuk 26/16 food at ~3 weeks of age and will be fully weaned by 7 weeks. We take puppies on several walks around the yard and introduce the puppy recall with and without whistle daily. As weather permits the pups will be taken to our training grounds a few times for adventures and swimming. Pups will NOT be crate trained but will have been exposed to a kennel from 4 weeks on which makes crate training is an easy transition for you and pup.

We do not allow clients to pick their puppy. We make all placement decisions at 7.5 weeks using temperament testing results in combination with our observations of the puppies to place each into the home best suited for them based on your family dynamics and needs while balancing factors such as puppy temperament, and structure. Unless a puppy is mis-marked, we do NOT take markings into placement decisions. Every Drent is unique, from lots of white to lots of brown and all points in-between. We feel that this method provides the best chance of success in matching each client with the best possible dog for them.

All pups are sold on a limited/restricted registration or a co-ownership if it’s a breeding/show pup. Typically, co-ownership will be terminated when the primary owner completes required conformation and/or hunting titles and all health testing meets current guidelines unless otherwise agreed upon.

Puppy Pick-ups are done at our home in Spokane, WA, at 8 weeks of age. We conduct a 'Puppy Pick-up Party' where all the paperwork is finalized, answer questions, demo grooming techniques, etc. We do not ship puppies by any cargo means (air, bus or otherwise). Depending on your location and situation, delivery may be arranged at an extra cost.

Our dogs love being a member of your family. They thrive on spending time with you doing whatever you enjoy. They do need structure, rules and boundaries. If at any time you have questions or concerns, we are here to help you. We hope to continue to get updates from you throughout your pups' lifetime.
Some Additional Notes:
Please take the time to review our entire website; past litters, the TGK blog, our training methodology, and current/future litters page. Familiarize yourself with the dates we have projected and how this meshes with your family's needs.

Please keep in mind that our waitlist for a puppy can fill up months, if not over a year or so, in advance of puppies being born. We will give you the best estimate for when you may expect to be "on deck" for a puppy.

After that, if you'd like to move forward with getting a puppy from us, please fill out our application below, with as much detail as possible. We contact everyone who applies. We set video interviews up using Calendy, a scheduling service, (or in-person if you are local), during which we talk through your application and any questions/concerns that either side has. We will also discuss your interests and needs, answer questions.

If our Buyers Agreement is suitable for you, please let us know with an "all in" message. If you have questions, please ask, or if you prefer to move on, just let us know.

PLEASE DO NOT GET ON MORE THAN ONE WAITING LIST unless you are VERY honest about it. As soon as your name is on one of our lists, we are potentially turning away puppy buyers since we work hard to only take the number of clients, we expect that we will need. If you decide you need to make other arrangements, just let us know so that we can open our list(s) again as soon as possible.

The questionnaire below was designed to help us make sure that we match you with the dog that best fits your family and your lifestyle. Buying a dog is an investment and serious commitment. We are dedicated to finding our dogs forever homes that care about them as a family member just as much as a show or hunting dog.

Please fill it out honestly and completely.

If you have any questions at all, please feel free to contact us.
