Tule, pronounced "Two-lee", is another import and was bred by Jolanda Huisjing and Marry Huisman in De Kwakel, NL. She joined us in June 2015. We originally had no intent to get another dog, but Tule came from a litter that we just couldn't pass up.
Tule is a sweetheart and learns very quickly. Though she definitely has a mind of her own, very typical Drent, she was a great puppy and has matured into a beautiful girl. Tule also has traveled back to the Netherlands in April 2017 where she attended the Fokdag, or Breeder's Day. She was evaluated along with the rest of her littermates and received a U (Excellent) - the highest qualification. She ran NAVDHA Natural Ability at just 6 months old, and she scored maximum scores in "Pointing" and "Use of Nose". We re-ran her a few months later after she matured a bit, and she did extremely well scoring 108/112 points. Fowler was Jenna's first Drent and the dog that started her love affair with the Drent. Fowler was imported from the Netherlands, and was bred by Sjors Vriend in Medemblik, NL.
Fowler is a very sweet dog, who loves to cuddle and just wants to be close to his family. He is not very good at respecting "personal space." He also excels in the field - he is incredibly fast, with a natural range of 80-100 yards. He has hunted many types of birds including pheasant, grouse, quail, huns, and chukar. He is also a great waterfowl dog and loves to swim and retrieve. He is extremely biddable and everything we could have asked for in a family member and hunting buddy. Fowler is also a certified therapy dog and participates in programs at hospitals and nursing homes, as well as children's reading activities. Answers to frequently asked questions:
*All puppies must be picked up at our home in Spokane, WA. Shipping is only by exception.
*We do not allow future owners to "pick" their puppy. We will make selections based on the dynamics of our client list and the pups produced. There is no preference order.
*Our Pups will come with health records including proof of worming, 1st set of vaccinations, microchip, and clean bill of health as well as DPCNA and AKC registration.
Puppy visits:
*We do not allow visits with the puppies until they are 2 weeks old
*We allow adults and encourage children to come as well, however children should be supervised and know beforehand how to interact and handle a puppy.
*Please be prepared to have your hands and shoes disinfected when you visit
*Please wear clean clothes and do not travel to a dog park or pet store on the day prior to your visit
We recognize the DPCNA, The Drentsche Patrijshond Club of North America, as the parent organization of the Drentsche Patrijshond, Dutch Partridgedog, in North America as recognized by the American Kennel Club. All of our litters will be registered with the DPCNA and American Kennel Club.
