Ila is the puppy we kept out of Powder's 2019 litter with Joeri. Ila has a healthy dose of her grandpa Booker, the athleticism of her momma, and the sweetness and metered passion of her father and paternal grandfathers. She really is the best parts of what the dogs in her pedigree bring. She has a ton of drive and loves birds, and sports one of the most stylish points we've seen from a Drent. Ila loves to swim and has a natural retrieve. She is highly intuitive, intelligent, comedic, and is a master of canine communication, winning over any and all dogs she meets. She's a hoot to be around in the home and in the field. In short, she was born to be a traveling wing shooter's companion - she is Made for Adventure!

Ila is the most hunted over Drent on the planet - this isn't some fanciful claim! She has been successful with every species presented to her: Ruffed, Spruce, Sharptailed, Sage, and Blue grouse. Mearns, Valley, Gambles, Scaled, and Mountain quail. As well as Chukar, Hungarian Partridge, and Pheasant. She an average 80 days per season hunting wild birds and has professionally guided clients for a well known Orvis Endorsed outfitter and via other avenues where she has been a client favorite.

Ila is the first female Drent to win multiple Bests in AKC Open Show and earn an AKC Certificate of Merit all through some very limited showing. She is also the first Drent to pass the NAVHDA Gun Dog test and the 1st to be awarded the American Drentsche Patrijshond Association's Versatility Award & Versatility Excellent Award. She has been progressing well in the sport of AKC Scentwork and currently is trialing at the Master level, has begun Rally and has plans to move further up the hierarchy​ of the NAVHDA testing system.
